Your Data Rights Under Ghana's Data Protection Act (Act 843)

Your health information is personal. Under the Ghana Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843), you have statutory rights over it, and DigCare is built to honour them.

    Your rights

    • Right to access: request a complete copy of the personal and health data we hold about you.
    • Right to rectification: correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information.
    • Right to erasure: request account deletion and data removal, subject to statutory health retention rules.
    • Data portability: request a structured export of your medical history, prescriptions and health card records.
    • Right to withdraw consent: revoke consent for optional processing at any time.

What happens when you delete your account

Personal data of deleted accounts is removed within 30 days. Completed prescriptions, audit logs and billing records are retained for as long as healthcare and financial regulations require.

    How to exercise your rights

Contact our Data Protection Officer at digcaregh@gmail.com. You can also ask for immediate deletion of your verification documents at any time.
