You're in Control: How Consent-Based Access to Your Health Records Works

Digital records are only useful if patients trust them. That is why the DigCare Health Card is built around one principle: nothing is shared without your approval.

    Your PIN

Your Health Card is protected by a 6-digit PIN that you set yourself. When a doctor scans your QR code in person, the scan is authorised with your PIN.

    Remote access needs two things

If a doctor needs to view your records remotely, two checks apply: your explicit approval, and an OTP that the doctor must enter. Without both, the request goes nowhere.

    The Data Access Log

Every access event is recorded in an immutable log: requests, approvals, denials, scans and revocations. You can see exactly who viewed your records and when, and you can revoke access.

    Why this matters

A record of who saw what is the strongest answer to the question every patient quietly asks: who else can see my information? With DigCare, the answer is only the people you said yes to.

Being able to check the access log is a big deal for me. Most places just tell you your data is safe and leave it there.

What happens in an emergency if I'm unconscious and can't approve anything?

      Clearly explained, thank you.
