Travel time, transport costs and time off work can make a simple check-in feel like a day-long project. A video consultation lets you speak to a doctor from home.
What the doctor sees
During a live consultation, the doctor can view the patient's history, note symptoms, give a diagnosis, plan treatment, prescribe medicine, order tests and make referrals, all from one screen.
How your call is protected
Video and audio consultations run over Twilio's encrypted infrastructure. The streams are not stored by DigCare. We only log consultation metadata (date, time, duration and the participating provider) for billing and audit purposes.
Tips for a good consultation
- Find a quiet, well-lit spot with a stable connection.
- Keep your medication and any recent results nearby.
- Write down your questions beforehand.
Video consultations are a convenient way to get advice, follow-up and prescriptions. They are not a replacement for emergency care: in an emergency, go to the nearest health facility.

How much data does a 15-minute video call use? Bundles are not cheap.
The tip about keeping your medication nearby is a good one. I never remember the names when the doctor asks.
